Elan Millhauser earned a B.A. in political Science from Binghamton University in 2007. Before attending law school Ms. Millhauser worked and lived in Colombia, South America where she learned to speak Spanish. Ms. Millhauser enjoys conversing in Spanish when the opportunity presents itself.
After returning from Colombia, she earned J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2013. Ms. Millhauser is licensed to practice law in New York State, S.D.N.Y., and E.D.N.Y.
Prior to joining the firm Ms. Millhauser worked in the civil sector representing banks and lending services in contractual matters. She actively represented the banks in actions against debtors defaulting on loans and filing for bankruptcy.
Ms. Millhauser also practiced in the area of criminal defense where she vigorously defended her clients’ rights under the Constitution. Most notably Ms. Millhauser was assistant counsel in a 14-week trial in which her client was acquitted.
Besides the law, Ms. Millhauser enjoys tennis, biking, reading, and traveling.
