Rafal Ankier, as of counsel to the Rella & Associates Law Firm, represents injured workers and fights to secure them all of the benefits they are entitled to under Workers’ Compensation, SS Disability, NYC/NYS Retirement and GML 207a & 207c.
Rafal brings more than 30 years of experience in New York Workers’ Compensation law, having represented both injured workers and insurance carriers. Before returning to Rella & Associates, he held senior legal leadership roles at AmTrust Financial Services and The Hartford, including overseeing more than 250 attorneys nationwide.
Rafal uses his insider knowledge of insurance carriers to advocate for injured workers, handling claims from initial filings through hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations. With a background in accounting at Arthur Andersen and financial auditing at Goldman Sachs, he brings a precise, analytical approach to settlement valuations, wage calculations, and Medicare Set-Aside analysis.
He graduated in the top 15% of his class at Pace University School of Law and the top 2% of his accounting class at SUNY Albany. Outside the office, he enjoys competitive pickleball with family and friends.
